Sign Up with the Hemoglobins for BetheMatch San Jose 5k!
Leukemia and other blood cancers suck. Having something like the National Bone Marrow Registry does not suck. People not knowing it exist, however, sucks. Let’s make the world suck a little less!
I hope you will join my team and I on Saturday, April 18th, in San Jose for a celebratory 5k run (3.2miles) in the spirit of spreading the word about the registry. The Haddad Training Hemoglobins are looking for people who:
- want to challenge him or herself to a short run
- enjoy helping others
- desire seeing cancer get eradicated
If you just like running, I’m down with that! All I can hope for is that all participants spread the word about getting more people on the registration list for bone marrow transplants.
Cancer is a scary, scary disease that used to be a terminal sentencing. Now, with current treatments utilizing bone marrow transplants, people with blood cancers have a shot at beating their disease. The Registry expands the pool of healthy donors, making treatments easier than ever. The only way that Registry can work, however, is if people sign up to be a part of it! Whatever your blood type, you may be able to help save a life.
